My passion for painting and art brought me to the south of Burgundy where I discovered an unspoiled corner of paradise, the Brionnais. With its rich history and peaceful landscape, this corner of paradise will truly inspire you.
I would like to share with you the magic of the Romanesque churches, the medieval villages, the warm ochre of the stones, the Loire and also the excellent cuisine and wine that have made this region famous.
I run my courses from Briant, a tiny village of 234 inhabitants with one restaurant, a church and our local family bakery.
The clock stopped ticking here years ago. I invite you to join me.
1 - 5 August with Jacques Desplanches dit (called) Jacquin

We will work en plein air and in the studio.

29th August - 2nd September with Richard Colson
Painting the Landscape
This course is designed to build your experience in painting and drawing and we will focus on figures in a landscape setting. The river setting near the Loire will provide perfect subject matter. To learn as Plato said: "you have to do” and this is the philosophy of Arts in Burgundy. You will learn by painting and modifying the medium as you gain experience.
